An additional benefit, the added shoulder foam gets the chest protector to sit higher and increase net coverage. Other added foams in the bicep, sternum and rib protect vulnerable areas usually poorly covered by conventional chest/arms. Finally, a fully mesh back panel and perforated foams throughout increase air flow to reduce heat retention and speed up drying time.
