This line of Powerblanket flat electric heating blankets provides a higher watt density and hotter temperature than the concrete curing blankets they resemble. They run between 30-40 watts/square foot, and have a max temperature of 150F /-10F. Extra-Hot thawing blankets are designed to thaw around one inch of frozen soil per hour on average. Heats to a preset 150°F ± 10°F / 65.5°C ±5°C. Provides higher heat control when combined with a thermostatic controller. Melt snow and ice from roofs, walkways, and construction areas. Thaw up to 24” of frozen ground. Approximately one inch of frozen soil/hour. Average rate of 12″-24″ every 24 hours. Extra-Hot XTREME heated blankets are designed for extremely cold climates (Alaska and Canada) and made with a more supple grey vinyl material that has a cold crack rating of -60F°.
